What We Do

Health
Our health programs are designed to ensure there is total well-being of every child and adolescent living in every part of South Sudan and give special attention to maternal and newborn health, immunization, childhood disease, noncommunicable diseases, nutrition, mental health, adolescent health, and child development

Education
We work to improve equitable equal access to relevant safe, quality, and inclusive education for adolescent girls affected by the South Sudan crisis through responsive care and early learning, pre-primary, primary, secondary, alternative education and learning opportunities targeting 40,000 including learners, teachers, SMC members, parents and PTA members.

— Food Security
Called as foundation programme is aiming to Interventions cover issues on malnutrition for children 0-59 months and Pregnant and lactating women are being addressed through MIYCN counselling and education, (breastfeeding, complementary feeding, maternal nutrition), provision of micronutrient

— We Protect
This is a cross cutting issues with the foundation programme FSL and Nutrition aiming to improve adolescents’ girls’ level of protection from violence, abuse, neglect, and exploitation; targeting 550,000 women, girls, Men and Boys.

— We Provide Care
Security risk assessments, context analysis, movement tracking, security protocols, liaison with UN OCHA, UNDSS, local authorities, and community leaders for access negotiations.
Function: Evidence-based decision making and accountability to beneficiaries.

— We Consult
Monitoring & Evaluation: Data collection, outcome tracking, baseline/endline surveys.
Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP): Manages community feedback and complaint mechanisms (hotline, complaint boxes).
Knowledge Management & Learning: Documents lessons learned, shares best practices.

Saving Lives and Responding to Emergencies
We care deeply about protecting lives, especially during crises such as conflict, displacement, floods, and disease outbreaks. Our priority is to ensure that affected communities receive timely and life-saving support, including food, shelter, healthcare, and protection services. We aim to be present where the need is greatest and respond quickly to reduce suffering and restore hope.

Good health is the foundation of a strong community. We are committed to improving access to quality healthcare services, especially for children, mothers, and vulnerable populations. Our work includes promoting preventive care, supporting maternal and child health, addressing nutrition, and raising awareness about diseases. Access to Quality and Inclusive Education
Education is a powerful tool for change. CERDO works to ensure that all children and young people—especially girls and those affected by crisis—have access to safe, inclusive, and quality education. We support learning at all levels and create opportunities for those who missed school to continue their education. We believe education builds confidence, skills, and a better future.
Clean Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)
Access to clean water and proper sanitation is essential for life and health. We work to ensure communities have safe drinking water, improved sanitation facilities, and knowledge about hygiene practices. By improving WASH services, we help prevent disease, improve health outcomes, and enhance dignity in everyday life.
Peace, Social Cohesion, and Community Unity
Strong communities are built on peace and cooperation. CERDO promotes peaceful coexistence among different groups by encouraging dialogue, understanding, and mutual respect. We support initiatives that reduce conflict, strengthen relationships, and build trust within communities, especially in areas affected by displacement and crisis.
