About CERDO
Community Emergency Rescue for Development Organization (CERDO) is non-political, non-profit making national organization registered with South Sudan relief and rehabilitation Commission (SSRRC) with its registration No.4597. The purpose of this organization is to seek for hope, inclusion and ensure social justice where poverty is overcome and all people live in dignity, as well increase access to quality health care service delivery, education, justice and protection of vulnerable children, women, elders and persons with disabilities in order to make them realize their potentials of life.





OUR PROGRAMS
HEALTH
Our health programs are designed to ensure there is total well-being of every child and adolescent living in every part of South Sudan and give special attention to maternal and newborn health, immunization, childhood disease, noncommunicable diseases, nutrition, mental health, adolescent health, and child development
FOOD SECURITY/LIVELIHOOD
Called as foundation programme is aiming to promote economic opportunities and the empowerment of teenage girls in their community, displaced environment and returning to South Sudan. Interventions also cover promoting access to quality WASH informationPeriodically, treatment of children with acute malnutrition (MAM and SAM) and referral services. The programme is targeting children 0-5 years, adolescent girls, boys, men and women, specifically vulnerable people living in IDPS reaching 1.1 million through FSL, nutrition and WASH interventions
Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR)
We work to empower young people, especially adolescent girls, to make informed decisions about their bodies, health, and relationships.
Our SRHR programs provide:
- Access to family planning and contraceptive services
- Education on sexual and reproductive health
- Prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV/AIDS
- Counseling and guidance on relationships and personal well-being
Through these services, we aim to promote healthy lifestyles, informed choices, and dignity for all individuals.
Protection (Child Protection & Gender-Based Violence)
CERDO works to create safe environments where all individuals are protected from harm, abuse, and exploitation.
Our protection programs focus on:
- Preventing violence against children, women, and vulnerable groups
- Addressing gender-based violence (GBV)
- Strengthening community systems for protection
- Raising awareness on human rights and safety
- Supporting survivors with appropriate services and referrals
We also work to reduce harmful cultural practices and promote respect, safety, and dignity for everyone.
